I've decided to veer from my standard Apple Pie this year. It's Alton's fault. His apple pie show was nothing short of facinating, i'm telling you. However- collecting all of the tools and ingredients has become a scavenger hunt. Apple Jelly is the bane of my existence right now. I tried every store in the area before ending up here at a lovely little gift shop/orchard. Even THEY didn't have straight-up apple jelly. Apple cinnamon, yes, but it's red and tastes like Hot Tomale candies. That won't do at all. Curse you, Alton, I don't live in the south, dernit. Does anyone know where I can find Apple Jelly? Please? Well- at least I got some Gooseberry Preserves out of it. But that's another episode.
